Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Technical degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience;
- 3-5 years experience that includes operational support, hands-on implementing and configuration of network devices such as Cisco and Foundry routers and switches, load balancers, UPS, servers, and cabling in a large LAN//MAN/WAN environment;
- Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, T-1, and DS-3 experience a must. ATM and SONET experience a plus;
- Layer 2 & 3 switching, VLANs (ISL + 802.1q), trunking / ether channel, and spanning tree protocol;
- Routing Protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP ( extensive BGP experience a plus);

- Highly proficient with configuring and managing DNS, Microsoft DNS and Active Directory (ADS) - Services: DNS, DHCP, POP, SMTP, SNMP understand and configuration set up a must;

- NMS: Cisco Works, OpenView, Nerve Center, Netcool Omnibus, SNMP agents, Cricket / MRTG, sFlow and NetFlow experience a plus;
- Should have in depth experience in maintaining and configuring Cisco 55xx/29xx series switches, 72xx Series Routers and Cisco 535 Pix Firewall;
- Firm understanding of IP addressing allocation and management;
